Nuevo libro "Moto" Alberto García-Alix disponible en la editorial Cabeza de Chorlito

El libro Moto se compone de dos partes: la primera, en papel mate , recoge desde las primeras instantáneas que  Alberto García-Alix tomó en 1975 durante una carrera  de motocross en la que participaba su hermano,  hasta el año 2007; la segunda parte, en papel brillo,  contempla un nuevo bloque de fotografías inéditas, con las que el autor,  buscando sus límites, inicia un renovado discurso fotográfico sobre la moto,  mediante el uso más abstracto y alegórico de la imagen. Se trata, en definitiva, de un conjunto de fotografías que trasladan  la belleza y el cuidado con el que García-Alix  ha retratado su vida ligada a la moto. En el centro del libro, acompañando a las imágenes,  hay un texto autobiográfico en el que Alberto García-Alix  relata un cúmulo de experiencias y anécdotas, contadas como sólo un vividor de la moto puede hacerlo,  y que dejan al lector con ganas de “levantar rueda”  y “dejarse embriagar por el olor a ricino y el bramar de motores”. The book consists of two parts: the first, in matte paper, gathers images from 1975 –including the first photograph that Alberto García-Alix took during a motocross race in which his brother was taking– to 2007; the second part of the book, on glossy paper, includes  a new block of unreleased photographs, with which the author, seeking its limits, initiates a renewed photographic discourse on the bike, by the more abstract and allegorical use of the image. It is, in short, a set of photographs that transport the beauty and care with which García-Alix has portrayed his life tied to the bike. In the center of the book, accompanying the images, there is an  autobiographical text in which Alberto García-Alix tells a  bunch of experiences and stories, told as only a true biker can do, that leaves the reader wanting to pull a wheelie and  to become  intoxicated by the smell of castor oil and the roar of engines ".
